Hillcrest Camshaft Service was founded in 1955 in the historic Hillcrest neighborhood of Little Rock, Arkansas. The original facility was a 4,200 sq. ft. building staffed by five employees. Our early equipment included a Storm Vulcan and a Landis cam grinder, along with a few polishing lathes. During those formative years, we primarily focused on automotive and light truck camshafts.

In the late 1970s, Hillcrest relocated to a larger facility with over 12,000 sq. ft. and a team of 11 employees. It was at this new location that the company began expanding into industrial camshaft services. This growth led to partnerships with major clients such as Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar Inc., Marine Systems, NREC, Cummins Inc., and Union Pacific Railroad.
